COMMENTARY:
Commercial crashes involving an 18-wheeler and a small passenger car can be deadly and this crash is no exception. It saddens me to hear that two young men lost their lives unnecessarily. The reports seem to indicate that the driver of the truck was at fault for the collision as he turned left into oncoming traffic while attempting to enter the Highway. We don’t yet know what business may have been involved, but we do know that working through a commercial insurance case can be very involved. It is imperative that a thorough investigation is done and evidence is preserved before it disappears. The only way to obtain evidence is through a civil case, requiring an attorney. Having an experienced attorney involved early on may prove critical to obtaining a just financial recovery. They can help avoid pitfalls and help you move the process along so that the family can focus on healing and more immediate needs.
