According to Fox 4 news, a single vehicle crash on Royal Lane near Harry Hines Boulevard left three people with injuries. It happened around 11 p.m. when a driver traveling on Royal Lane lost control near Harry Hines Boulevard. The vehicle ended up hitting a fence and a tree. All three occupants of the vehicle suffered injuries and were transported to the hospital after being extricated by the fire department. Authorities say the crash is still under investigation.
COMMENTARY:
Anytime police are investigating the cause of the crash, we know they are looking for evidence not easily determined at the time of the crash. This type of investigation might include looking for tire marks, checking available dash cameras, interviewing occupants and witnesses, downloading the electronic control module (black box) and even performing toxicology tests. It is critical that all possible scenarios be evaluated so that the driver, passengers, insurance companies, and anyone else who suffered a loss as a result of the accident can know their options and determine the best way to move forward.
