COMMENTARY

It can be difficult to assign fault in a collision that happens during poor weather conditions. Authorities have not told us what led up to this crash, but I suspect weather may have played a role. Anytime a commercial vehicle is involved, a thorough investigation is important upfront because evidence can disappear. The only way to gain full access to vehicle records, electronic control modules, and dash cameras is through civil litigation, and this involves an attorney. Before making any decisions about how to move forward with a claim when you are involved in a collision, it is always best to seek an assessment of your case from an experienced attorney.
